Luna Labs is developed by Luna Labs ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data when you use the Luna Labs Chrome extension.

1. Data We Collect

When you use Luna Labs, we collect the following information:

  • Prompts you submit for analysis: When you actively click the "Improve" or "Refine" button, we send your prompt text and recent conversation history from the current session to our backend to generate context-aware suggestions.

  • Prompt history: Analyses you've run are stored so you can revisit previous results.

  • Saved prompts: Prompts you choose to save to your personal library.

  • Email address connected to your account (if signed in).

  • Usage analytics: Which AI platform you used (e.g. "chatgpt", "claude") and button clicks, for the purpose of improving the product.

Enhanced Context (Opt-In)

If you enable the Enhanced Context feature, the extension will additionally capture prompts you submit by pressing Enter in supported AI platforms, and sync them to your Luna Labs account to build conversation history. This allows Improve and Refine to give more relevant suggestions based on the full context of your conversation.

Enhanced Context is disabled by default and requires explicit consent before activation. You can disable it at any time in Settings. When disabled, no passive prompt capture occurs.

Guest Mode

If you use Luna Labs without signing in, we do not collect any personal data. Guest usage (up to 10 analyses per week) is tracked locally in your browser only.

2. How We Use Your Data

The data we collect is used solely to:

  • Generate improved and refined prompts based on your input.

  • Store your prompt library and history so you can access them across devices.

  • Track basic usage analytics to improve the product.

We do not use your prompts for AI model training, marketing, or any other secondary purpose.

3. What We Don't Do

  • We never read your full AI conversations or responses.

  • We never collect browsing history or page content.

  • We never sell or share your data with advertisers or third parties.

  • We never access your prompt text without you explicitly clicking a button or enabling Enhanced Context (opt-in).

4. Third-Party Services

Luna Labs uses Supabase for database, authentication, and infrastructure. Their privacy policy is available at https://supabase.com/privacy.

The extension interacts with AI platforms and productivity tools — including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot, DeepSeek, Mistral, Grok, Manus, Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, NotebookLM), Microsoft 365 (Office, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint), and AI coding tools (Lovable, Magic Patterns, Replit, v0, Bolt) — solely to display the Luna button and insert prompts. We do not collect any data from these platforms.

5. Data Storage & Security

  • Local storage: Authentication tokens, cached prompts, and preferences are stored locally in your browser via Chrome's Storage API.

  • Remote storage: Your prompt library and history are stored securely on Supabase infrastructure using industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS).

  • Retention: Prompt data is retained until you delete it or close your account. Usage logs are retained for 90 days.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@luna-labs.io.

7. GDPR & CCPA

For users in the EEA, we process data based on your consent and contractual necessity. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of data sales (note: we do not sell personal data). 8. Children's Privacy

Luna Labs is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last Updated" date above.
